In this article, we will guide you through how to claim and edit your company’s Passport on hoggo.
What is a Passport?
Well, just like you wouldn’t apply for a job position without having some kind of a structured CV, you can’t engage with another company without having all the information required on how you are planning to safeguard the data they will be sharing with you. Up until now you needed to answer and provide lengthy spreadsheets and questionnaires. Now, thanks to hoggo, you can simply claim your Company’s Passport, edit it to provide more detailed information and improve your overall Trust Grade. From there you can easily share with your customers or prospects.
How to claim a Passport?
We generate Passports by using AI, so thankfully, you don’t need to start from scratch! Start by typing your company’s name in Trust Hub’s search bar.
If you can’t find it, no worries, simply request it and we will generate a Passport in less than 24 hours. You will get an email from us as soon as it’s published (you will be the first one to know!).
Then, simply click “Claim Ownership” and you’re all set! Make sure you sign up with an email address associated with your company’s domain, otherwise it won’t work. You can always create a new account.
Why should you claim your Passport?
Without claiming your Passport and providing missing/additional information, you won’t be able to improve your overall Trust Grade. If we can’t find certain information, we can’t assess your privacy and security practices. Our main goal is to promote transparency and we are “fine” for the lack of it. In addition, by keeping your Passport up-to-date you get points that can be converted into discounts. The more you update and share your Passport, the less you pay.
How to Edit Your Passport?
Let’s go over the different categories and elements in your Passport. This way, you will understand what is needed to be provided in each section.
General Section
In order to edit this section, click on the “Edit” button on the top left.
- Internal Training – Do your employees undergo internal privacy training?
- Data Broker – is your organization a registered data broker or is involved in data enhancement?
- Enquiry Proceedings/Legal actions/ Breaches – have you ever faced a complaint/fine/legal action or a data breach?
By navigating to the “Controller” tab, you will find more data elements to complete:
- Do you have a process in place to respect Data Subject Rights? Read more about it here.
- How are you using anonymized/aggregated data? If your company doesn’t limit it’s anonymized data-usage, choose “no conditions”. If your company only aggregates/anonymize limited data types, choose “limited data types”. If you only use aggregated data with prior controller consent, choose “Prior controller consent”.
- Data Enrichment – Are you using data enrichment tools or engaging with data brokers?
- Are you using AI on personal data you process as a Controller? It could be Fully, Partially or None.
